WE CAN BE WORLD LEADERS IN CLIMATE CHANGE – Are you on board?
Let’s show the World!
TOGETHER WE CAN CREATE A CLEAN AND SECURE FUTURE
About Climate Change Canada
We are here to serve the community for awareness by periodically publishing some of the world’s most significant discoveries online. Findings that advance knowledge and address some of the greatest challenges that we face as a society today. Our journals publish not only primary research but also reviews, critical comment, news and analysis.
Isn’t it time to show your support for Canada’s challenge against Climate change by bringing awareness to your family, friends and colleagues in effort to be loyal and supportive to businesses in your community who have been recognized by Climate Change Canada for leading the way for climate change. If you are Canadian and you truly believe that things need to be done against Climate Change then now’s the time to lighten your carbon foot print. Mother Earth needs you right now. Take care of her.
Every month, millions of people read news, analysis and commentary on climate change around the world. We in Canada are committed to helping to bring the all Canadians to awareness of scientists through our backing for the Research, Inspiring and Innovative Science.

Melting Glaciers
Today, about 10% of land area on Earth is covered with glacial ice. Almost 90% is in Antarctica, while the remaining 10% is in the Greenland ice cap. Rapid glacial melt in Antarctica and Greenland also influences ocean currents, as massive amounts of very cold glacial-melt water entering warmer ocean waters is slowing ocean currents. And as ice on land melts, sea levels will continue to rise. Homes flood, the foundations of buildings and other infrastructure crack and cities become inundated by storms. In some cases, entire neighbourhoods can sink to a point where they are assailed by water.

Flooding towns & farm land
Weeks of flooding is drowning out waterfront communities and turning farms into inland seas. There’s something about water that brings people together. Humans tend to congregate by oceans, lakes and streams. Almost every major city sits beside a body of water. As global temperatures rise, glaciers melt and seas get warmer. Simultaneously, our cities face challenges from erosion, subsidence and permafrost melt. In short, sea levels are rising, and the ground beneath many cities is lowering.

Heat waves cause Bush-fires
For many heat waves, there are also important feedbacks that come into play that amplify drought and heat and set the stage for wildfires. There is a direct local contribution to the drying and high temperatures in the absence of evaporative cooling. While heat waves with high humidity are oppressive and give no relief at night, heat waves often form in association with drought. In these cases, the prevailing dry conditions set the stage for the heat since the land is dried out, the vegetation is wilted, and all of the heat from the sun goes into raising temperatures, whereas ordinarily, in the process of evaporative cooling, surface water or wetness acts as an evaporative cooler (swamp cooler) of sorts.
